PEM’s objective is to continue to build long-term client relationships utilizing our proven track record of hands-on services, in-depth product knowledge, and competitive pricing. PEM is well known in the Lighting industry with 30 years of quality lighting projects installations and services. PEM has recently expanded our capabilities in the design and installation of EV Chargers in Commercial and Industrial applications to help Electrify California. We are a Licensed C10 Electrical Contractor and service all Cities in the greater LA and Orange County Areas specializing in the fields of Lighting maintenance and services, LED Lighting installations, Lighting Controls, and installation of EV Chargers.
We strive to provide our customers with the highest integrity with an adaptive approach to all projects. We continue to expand our experience and credentials to provide our clients with complete turn-key projects in Lighting and EV Chargers. Experienced PEM personnel implement the initial design stages of the project to provide a turnkey solution to meet all NEC and City code requirements as well as meet Power Company rebate approvals guidelines if applicable.
PEM Services include:
Lighting Upgrades – PEM provides experienced lighting technicians to upgrade interior/exterior lighting systems to new energy efficient LED with California Title 24 approved components. PEM works with all local Utilities to research and complete required paperwork to garner rebates and develop ROIs for all projects associated with energy savings at no cost. PEM turnkey lighting upgrade services, if needed includes developing a complete set of Title 24 engineered drawings submitted for City approvals, onsite review with the inspectors for the final approvals and sign off, and in house Title 24 Commissioning.
EV Chargers - PEM’s experienced electrical technicians install turn-key EV Chargers including all required design and electrical plans, submittal to the City electrical department, installation, new electrical panels and conduit, concrete bollards, signage, and easy to use software installed by the EV Manufactures. PEM assists our clients with individual experienced 24-hour personnel to assist with software issues and programing support. PEM provides access to monthly to yearly Carbon Credits with a broker for additional revenue including monitoring and reports.
Lighting Maintenance– PEM services interior / exterior include repair and replacement of lamps, ballasts and components as needed to properly maintain light levels at your facilities. PEM will adjust controls and time clocks to ensure accurate on/ off times and meet Title 24 requirements. We provide outdoor parking lot pole testing; Visual and Ultrasonic with written reports and provide preventative corrosion treatment and pole replacements and painting services. PEM also provides Monthly service contracts for outdoor/indoor lighting maintenance.
Notable Projects:
Irvine Company - Exterior lighting maintenance Commercial and Retail with implementation of phased LED installation for all outdoor lighting systems and controls. Comprehensive Pole Inspection program with replacement and corrosion control for all properties.
CBRE One Hundred Towers - Recently installed West Coast Largest EV Stage II Car Chargers with onboarded sim card software currently operating with (161) Chargers at this location.
Jet Aviation – New Title 24 compliant LED High Bays with Motion Sensors in the Hangers and New EV Stage II Chargers with multiple user software for their clients & employees.
Warner Center Woodland Hills – Multi-building Recessed Fluorescent Lighting upgraded with New Dimming LED Title 24 compliant components, adjustable light output fixtures to meet client’s requirements. Project rebate paid over 55% of cost in DWP 2022 CLIP rebate.
CARUSO / Americana at Brand – Upgraded Parking Garage fluorescent T8 to new LED replacement T8 lamps in coordination with Glendale Water & Power and client received Rebate of 40% of cost of the project.
PEM key Individuals:
Kelly Evans
Kelly Evans is Founder and President of PEM and formed the company in 1993 utilizing his Engineering Degree in Laser Electro Optics including his C-10 Electrical License. His objective has continued to provide the most cost-effective and highest quality design for the implementation of Energy Saving Lighting and Systems Controls. In 2020 Kelly introduced and implemented an EV Charger division including design, engineering, software installation. He works with the manufacture to provide software training, system monitoring, and complete all needed paperwork, applications, inspections. Kelly is knowledgeable in all current available EV Charger Rebates programs and Carbon Credits to assure the highest ROIs on every project.
David Thompson
David Thompson is an Owner and Vice President of Operation of PEM as a State Certified Journeyman Electrician and Certified California Lighting Controls Acceptance Test Technician. David’s key approach is aligned with PEM to provide “Hands on Approach” and to produce “High Quality of Service” with LED Lighting Projects and Lighting Maintenance. His 40 years of construction experience and Bachelor of Science in Business Management provide PEM’s new and existing clients with exceptional service and know-how to all projects.
